G1 Comment revisited
Checked with T-mobile. Does play back video but can’t record video which isn’t great but not a deal breaker. They say DUN (dial-up networking) isn’t support YET.
I am reconsidering but still leaning towards a Blackberry. If they get a slick IMAP client on the G1 and my have to jump in an buy one.
Thanks for the shout. Keep up the good work.

Ouch. I’ve been an Open Office fan for a while and love it. One of the reason I don’t have to use a Win box for weeks at a time if I don’t want to. OO has also helped many of my friends that couldn’t put down $200+ for MS Office to get projects done.I had problems with the 3.0 Beta and went back to 2.4 but probably going to upgrade next week.
Not really driven to use the new Base application but I can see where it would come handy.

I’m a Amarok user and am happy but do admit it can get a bit “heavy” on a system. Have you tried the two side by side? If so what were you impressions.

Linux Numbering Change
I like tradition but the change does make sense. Would make it easier to tell how old your kernel is and when to expect updates. Solaris does something similar.
